My older brother had one of these with a 350 swap when I was little. One of the first experiences of a fast car. He raced a Vette in it and beat it and blew my little mind.

Was maintenance as hard on it as they say?

I recall years ago hearing that the rear plugs were damn near impossible to get at on factory V8 Monzas.

He had to disconnect the headers and driveshaft   lift the motor to change plugs. Tight fit.

Thats about all I remember. One of my first wrenching experiences too.

Yeah man, I hung around with a dude who had a 350-swapped Monza, it was bitchin...  Not as bitchin as a Camaro, but still.  I think he and his dad ended up rebuilding it after college as an SCCA racer, which is badass.
